If there are over 7 billion people on this planet then why do I sometimes feel so alone? Social media will have you believe that everyone else’s life is amazing while your’s seems to be in the toilet bowl. Don’t fret. We all feel alone and insecure at times. There’s nothing wrong with you.
Our insecurities manifest as frustration and soon we begin to blame others for our lack of achievement. We start blaming our “situation” for why we’re not getting what we want out of life. In reality, it’s not your circumstance that defines you but rather what you do with the challenges that stand in front of you. You can’t change the wind but you can change your sails.
To build a life worth living, you have to find your value to the world and express it every day. Perhaps you like writing blogs or HTML code, volunteering, developing others, teaching, contributing, caring for children, running a business or building things. Whatever it may be when you connect with your passion, you start to shine. Everyday you wake up excited to do what you love and you stop complaining about how the world has let you down. You begin to connect with others and the empty feeling starts to dissipate. With time and practice, you share your message of hope with others and everyone benefits. Life may not be all sunshine and rainbows but it is what you make of it. Take responsibility for your life. You got yourself here, you can get yourself out.
